PawRadar collects the following information to provide our services:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and profile photo when you sign up via Apple or Google Sign-In.
- Pet Information: Your dog's name, breed, gender, and photos you upload.
- Location Data: GPS location during walks to track routes and distance.
- Photos and Media: Photos you take or upload within the app, including profile pictures, dog photos, and walk photos.
- Usage Data: App interactions to improve our services.
How We Use Your Information
- Track and display your walking routes and statistics
- Show nearby dog parks and dog-friendly places
- Connect you with friends and other dog owners
- Display your position on leaderboards
- Store and display photos you upload (profile, pets, walks)
- Improve app functionality and user experience
Photos and Media
When you upload photos to PawRadar:
- Photos are stored securely on Google Firebase Cloud Storage
- Profile and pet photos may be visible to other users depending on your privacy settings
- Walk photos are associated with your walk history
- You can delete your photos at any time from your profile or walk history
- We do not use your photos for advertising or sell them to third parties
Photo Scanning: When you use the photo scan feature, we access your photo library to detect photos taken during your walks based on timestamps. Detected photos may be uploaded to associate with your walk history. You control which photos are uploaded and can delete them at any time.
Neighbors Community Data
When you use the Neighbors features (Marketplace and Paw Sitters), we collect:
- Post Content: Titles, descriptions, photos, and pricing information you provide in listings
- Location Data: Approximate location for Marketplace and Paw Sitters posts to show nearby listings
- Transaction Communications: Messages exchanged between users regarding listings
- Post Activity: Views, responses, and status of your listings
Privacy Protection: For your privacy, exact locations in Neighbors posts are masked with an approximate area (privacy circle). Your exact address is only shared if you choose to share it directly with another user via messaging.
We use this data to:
- Display your listings to nearby users
- Enable communication between users regarding listings
- Moderate content for safety and appropriateness
- Improve the Neighbors community experience
Location Data
We collect location data only when you actively start a walk. Your real-time location is shared only with friends you have approved. Location history is stored securely and can be deleted at any time from your profile settings.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Friends you approve within the app
- Service providers who help operate our app (Firebase, Google Maps, Google Cloud Storage)
- Law enforcement when required by law
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, and secure cloud infrastructure (Google Firebase) to protect your data including photos and personal information.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data (including photos) at any time.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Update or correct your information
- Delete your photos and media
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of location tracking
